Swords and Stones is an alternative Game guide for use on its own as a fantasy TTRPG [tabletop role playing game], or to add to enhance your current game. Game play and mechanics are similar [but not the same] to what you are already used to if you are already an RPG player. SnS is set in an alternate universe, Ambian, where humans do not naturally exist. Create your adventurer from any decade in Earth's history, any country and any race. Your adventurer will travel through the Veil to reach Ambian, not knowing who brought you to this universe, or why. Seek out answers, mix with the locals, engage in mystery, search for treasure, if need be fight off nasty monsters or locals that would see you enchained or eaten.

As you develop your adventurer, become the sword slinger you always dreamed of being. Find spell stones and become the spell caster that saves the day. Seek out heal stones and become the party's healer. Or be all of them at once! The best part of adventurers in SnS is that you can utilize all of these skills and more as your adventurer grows and develops. As you gain levels earn extra skills to add to your toolbox to help you engage with local beings, escape the grasp of monstrous creatures, or specialize in investigating clues and runes to find the treasure and solve the mystery.

A little about me.

My name is Tim. I first ventured into the realm of RPGs in 1980 with ADnD. Played through high school and a bit into the early nineties. Time off for family and work. Then about a year and a half ago I decide it was about time I jumped back into my favorite game time. Overwhelmed with the sheer vastness of games now available, and not too impressed with the newest version of the most played RPG, as i wasnt into being a character that by 3rd or 4th level was basically earning god-like power. The risk of the old game was gone in this version, in my opinion. No longer was your adventurer worried about dying as you could just roll the die and poof yer back, kinda like multiple lives in a video game. So seeing as i really wanted to play again I decided to take the plunge and create my own version of my favorite game of imagination. A few tweaks and torques and lots of typing later, I came up with Swords and Stones. Not a huge jump from the premise of the old school game, but my own flavour if you will.

This will evolve over time, hopefully into something that many can enjoy and play without having to spend a life savings on books, or feel like you need to become the top tier digital gamer in order to play it.

I hope you find it interesting.
